Last year was a busy one for EHRMA, and let us give you a recap of it:
¨ We had two full rounds of the CPHRC program with its four modules given by Dr. John Maxwell, the former President of the World Federation of Personnel Management Association (WFPMA) and the recipient of the "George Petipas" Memorial Award: The Generalist Certificate, Compensation Management Certificate, HR Strategic Management Certificate and Leadership & Decision Making Certificate.
¨ A new program recently launched and very well received was that of the Masterclass Leadership Program with its 4 modules of Strategic Management, Finance and Cash Flow Management, HR Management, Corporate Management, and Marketing, Advertising & Branding. A group of experts from the various fields contributed to the sessions, including AUC professors such as Dr. Harold Harlow, Dr. Islam Azzam, Dr. Laila El Baradei and Dr. Ahmed Taher, in addition to Dr. El Mostafa Higazy, President of ACME Corporation-Global. In addition, a group of professional practitioners presented their application of the various management practices, including Mr. Ian Gray, CEO of Vodafone, Ms. Sahar El Damati, Head of Credit and Risk Management at HSBC, Mr. Hany Mahmoud, Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Human Resources at Vodafone Egypt, Mr. Ray Bremer, Senior Vice President at Unilever and Mr. Tarek Nour, Chairman of Tarek Nour Holdings.
¨ A third program given was that of the Highlights of the Egyptian Labor Law Workshop, presented by Dr. Ahmed Hassan Elborai, Head of the Social Legislation Section at the Faculty of Law at Cairo University.
¨ A session was organized to introduce the New Health Insurance Laws in Egypt, presented by Dr. Adel Mounir, Chair of the Egyptian Organization for Insurance Control and Dr. Ihab Abul Magd, Head of the Health Insurance Companies Sector.
¨ Other sessions that were organized tackled professional integrity; the human capital and safety at the workplace. Dr. M. Naguib Abu Zeid, AUC professor, Chair of the University Senate, and Head of Academic Integrity Council at AUC presented Professional Ethics, the Bedrock of the HR Profession; and Mushira El Bardai, Executive HR Director at AUC and Vice-Chair of EHRMA presented Integrity is What We Believe In. Mr. Simon Varley, Director of UK & Egypt LEAD presented Determining Company Value in an Intellectual Economy, and Mr. Ahmed Othman, Senior HSE Specialist at Rashpetco presented Behaviorally Based Safety, a Tool for Changing Culture.
